Normal daylight operation
Solar power first serves the property's live electrical load. Any surplus beyond immediate consumption automatically charges the lithium-ion battery bank, and once the battery is full, additional excess can be exported to the grid under net metering — all continuously, with no manual intervention.
The battery's role
Modern hybrid installations favor Lithium-Ion (LiFePO4) battery storage over older lead-acid technology, for longer cycle life, faster charging, and better performance in India's high ambient temperatures. This stored energy becomes available in the evening or during an outage.

The moment the smart inverter detects a grid failure, it automatically disconnects the property from the grid and switches to battery power — a transition fast enough that most connected devices never experience an interruption.
